Our customers depend on natural resources to produce the finest of Britain’s spirits, beers and ciders. By utilising reusable, durable stainless steel and copper equipment, along with in-house washing facilities and much more, they are already minimising their environmental impact. As brewers and distillers strive to further decrease their ecological footprint, we are witnessing more innovative applications for equipment finance, such as investments in CO2 recovery kits.
We will continue to explore ways to reduce our environmental impact and will innovate and collaborate with our supply chain and sector, both now and in the future.
The role of CO2 recovery systems in sustainable brewing and distilling
Sustainability and carbon emissions remain crucial for the brewery and distillery industries, with CO2 emissions from fermentation significantly impacting the carbon footprint of beer. CO2 recovery systems are increasingly used to capture and purify CO2 for reuse, benefiting both the environment and production costs. These systems can enhance product quality by using purer CO2, resulting in smoother and more consistent flavours. While initial equipment costs can be high, equipment finance offers a solution, enabling businesses to afford new technologies and processes.
